Francesca Cowley

Home Manager

Francesca Cowley

As a Home Manager, I am constantly striving to make the home a better place.

At Highmarket House we’re very passionate about supporting residents to live well, whether that’s delivering tailored activities, award-winning food or providing residents living with dementia namaste care, every department pulls together to support residents’ health and wellbeing.

Having a role in leadership is a privilege, making the resident’s and teams day is important to me. I worked for Care UK for 5 years, Care UK is an excellent care provider to work for, it’s a growing organisation focused on the delivery of quality care.

Knowing I’m making a positive impact on residents' lives is what motivates me. I’m very proud of the way the team delivers exceptional care to residents and their loved ones. It’s one big family at Highmarket House and that’s what makes it a very special home. I’ve worked in the care sector since 2008, since I was 18 years old. I’ve worked my way up doing different roles, including Team Leader, Trainer and Unit Manager. I joined Care UK in 2018 because I’d heard good things about the organisation, I’m very proud to be the Home Manager at Highmarket House.

I have a passion for what I do, and I’ve done it for a long time, and I’m always looking to make a difference to the people we care for. Everyone who works at Highmarket House takes a ‘whole home’ approach to caring for residents. Away from work, I like to spend time with my family. I like listening to music, watching TV and going on a good shop!

Pavlo Moroz
Pavlo Moroz
Deputy Manager

I’ve always been passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care. My background is in older adult healthcare and leadership, and my journey so far has taken me through various clinical and leadership roles. I’ve worked as a care coordinator leading vaccination teams and, most recently, as a physician associate working in primary care. This role involved collaborating closely with GPs, nurses and care homes to optimise care for older people with complex needs.

What drives me is a desire to make a genuine difference in people’s lives. It’s my goal to support residents to live with dignity, comfort and purpose, while also creating a positive, supportive environment for the teams who care for them. I believe in leading by example, encouraging continuous learning and fostering collaboration across all departments.

At Highmarket House, I’m excited to build on the fantastic work already happening. Whether it’s enhancing resident wellbeing, mentoring colleagues, or improving care systems and practices, I’m here to support the home in delivering the very best standards every single day.

Outside of work, I’m passionate about general health and wellbeing. I enjoy running, cycling, exploring nutrition and cooking, and unwinding with a good book. These interests keep me grounded and energised, and they also align closely with my professional commitment to promote a healthy, balanced lifestyle.

I look forward to getting to know each resident, family and colleague, and to working together to make Highmarket House the very best it can be.

Customer Relations Manager

I was working as a manager of business development before becoming Customer Relations Manager at Highmarket House. I loved the idea of merging my skillset in business and finance with such a rewarding and caring environment, and being able to help make a difference in people’s lives.

Care UK is a great organisation to work for. They look after residents and families well, and I couldn’t be prouder to be part of that.

My role is focused on advising, supporting and facilitating the needs of those transitioning into a care environment. I also work hard to keep the home active in the community to ensure we are supporting one another. As a CRM, it’s important to be caring, understanding and considerate, as well as proactive and enthusiastic.

I love to meet new people and understand how we at Highmarket House can help them, and I also enjoy engaging with residents each day.

Outside of work, I enjoy cinema, socialising and I’m very family orientated. I enjoy trying new things, whether that be going to new places or doing activities I’ve never done before.

Lifestyle Lead

I enjoy doing anything that’s craft-related. I absolutely love to sew and make personalized ragdolls in my spare time, and I used to work in a local haberdashery shop before I joined Highmarket House. A friend worked here and suggested the job to me as she thought I’d love it. She was absolutely right, and here I am. I joined the team in 2018.

In this role it’s important to be energetic, caring, patient, flexible and organised.

I love spending time with residents and their families, hearing about their past, the jobs they’ve had and how they used to live. Of course, I love the craft activities that we do too! Looking ahead, I’m looking forward to getting to know the residents and their families, finding activities they enjoy and making residents’ wishes come true.

As Head Chef, it’s important to work as a team, give respect and meet the culinary needs of residents. My favourite part of the day is seeing residents smile when they’re happy with my work.

My biggest career highlight is becoming Head Chef. I originally started as a hostess, so I’m proud of how far I have come in my career. Communicating well, solving problems, and having passion and creativity are important. I feel happiest when I receive positive feedback from residents.

I wanted to join Care UK because I liked the sound of the values its colleagues share – of being caring, passionate and working together as a team. I also thought Highmarket House looked like a nice place to work.

I worked as a Care Assistant before moving into the role of Receptionist/Administrator. This promotion has been the highlight of my career. As the first port of call for residents and relatives, it’s important for me to be kind, confident, happy, chatty and have good attention to detail.

My favourite part of the day is always greeting all the residents each morning and meeting the relatives when they come into the home. I’m proud to work for Care UK and as part of the team at Highmarket House.

As the Maintenance Manager, my role is to ensure Highmarket House is safe, well-maintained, and comfortable for residents. What drew me to this role is the opportunity to use my skills to directly improve people's living spaces. I find it incredibly rewarding to see the positive impact of a well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing environment on the residents' well-being and sense of home.
