Llys Herbert care home in Cardiff offers the latest in quality care, luxury and choice, providing residential, dementia care and short-term care.

We're proud to hold a perfect 10 on carehome.co.uk, and we have been listed in the prestigious Top 20 Care Homes Wales in 2024. This is because of our passion in tailoring every aspect of residents care and lifestyle to their unique needs, wishes and interests.

Our bedrooms at Llys Herbert are beautifully furnished, individually decorated and en-suite wet rooms. The home also has a coffee shop, cinema room and hair and beauty salon, as well as extensive gardens and outdoor spaces.

I have complete confidence that my loved one is receiving excellent care. The staff are very attentive and they do their best to get her involved in daily activities, her capabilities are limited, but they keep her as active and engaged as possible. They are trained in how to manage and care for people living with dementia, and their training is ongoing... they really understand the people they are taking care of and demonstrate such patience and kindness. They take care of us too. We're always well informed about our loved one and encouraged to get involved.

They treat my loved one with the utmost kindness, dignity and respect… just their everyday, natural behaviour is so impressive. Their attention to detail is fatastic and there is a good ratio of carers to residents, which is so important… they are able to get to know the residents and develop one-to-one relationships with them.

It's a modern, purpose built home with great facilities, including a cinema and a bar/coffee lounge… a very comfortable environment, always clean and tidy and a great atmosphere… everything looks brand new.
