Suzanne Tullet

Home Manager

Suzanne Tullet

Having previously lead the team at Winchcombe Place I’m excited and feel privileged to lead a new team and ensure that everyone’s supported, working together and managing a team I’m proud of.

I started my working career after studying a Pharmacology degree, which lead me to working in a community pharmacy and after hearing all the wonderful things about Care UK I wanted to try something new in my career, so I joined Care UK.

Previously at Care UK I was Deputy Manager at Winchcombe Place and have taken part in the Future Home Manager Program to help me develop my skills and understanding of home to be a successful home manager. Within my role I believe you need to be knowledgeable on a wide range of key areas, responsible, approachable efficient and understanding which has helped me develop a successful team.

Outside of work I love to dance and previously I’ve been featured on television in a dance competition.

Bruno de Brito
Bruno de Brito
Deputy Manager

I joined Care UK in December 2025 and I’m proud to be part of the team at Llys Herbert. I feel privileged to support our staff while ensuring our residents are at the heart of everything we do. I decided to join Care UK because I wanted to continue growing as a leader in care, working in a place where person-centred care is valued and where residents’ voices, choices, and dignity are central to everyday practice.

I am currently studying the City & Guilds QCF Level 5 in Adult Care and Health/Social Care. I’ve developed my practical skills through hands-on experience in care, learning person-centred approaches and the principles of the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) through real-life practice. Before joining Care UK, I worked in the care sector, progressing into management roles and gaining strong experience in supporting teams and improving quality and standards.

To be successful as a Deputy Manager, you need to lead with kindness, remain calm under pressure, and always put residents at the heart of your decisions. It’s important to support staff to do the right thing, promote dignity and respect, help residents to participate, and listen to their wishes.

My favourite part of the day is spending time with residents and staff. Seeing residents engaged, listened to, and treated as individuals, and watching staff grow in confidence, reminds me that good care is about relationships, trust, and making people feel safe and valued.

One of my biggest professional challenges has been stepping into the care sector without previous experience and learning quickly in a real environment. This experience helped me grow professionally, build confidence, and develop strong values around person-centred care and supporting people living with dementia.

Outside of work, I enjoy long walks, a good English vegetarian breakfast, watching films, reading, and attending church, as my faith is extremely important to me.

Fleur Pitman
Fleur Pitman
Team Leader

I am very passionate about providing a very high standard of care, my personal values and Care UK values mirror each other.

For me, a Team Leader needs to be passionate about what they do, a natural caring person and have patience. A Team Leader also needs to have a positive outlook on life to support their team and the residents. Making a difference, I have learnt can be the smallest act of kindness, it really does make a huge impact on someone’s wellbeing.

I am an avid reader, enjoy spending time with my family, going to the gym and travelling.

Ceri Herbert
Ceri Herbert
Business Administrator

To be successful in this role you must have a positive attitude, be highly organised and approachable. This is my biggest career highlight to date, being in this leadership role at this brand-new luxury care home.

My favourite part of the day is our daily meeting with the team, to hear what is going on and find out how everyone is doing. I am proud to work for Care UK, as I feel valued and supported by a great team.

I enjoy spending time with my family, walking my dog and reading.

Maddie East
Maddie East
Unit Manager

I have a level three diploma in leadership in health and social care and have been part of Care UK since leaving school at 16. I have always been told that I am a nurturing person, and I have always wanted to care for others. Being part of the Llys Herbert team means I can do that while also being supported to progress in my career.

To succeed in this role, you have to be passionate about providing excellent quality care. As unit manager, you must also have oversight and take ownership of the suite as well as be approachable. Good communication skills help enormously too.

My favourite part of the day is saying ‘bore da’ (good morning) to residents and putting a smile on their faces. I am proud of what we do here and seeing the real and positive difference we make. A relative recently sent me a letter, thanking me for the care I provided her mum when she was here for the last few days of her life. That meant a lot to me as good end of life care is an area I feel very passionately about.

When I am not working, I love going to visit my grandparents in Kent. I go and see them at least once a month with my partner, and we all play lots of board games together. We are very competitive so it can get pretty lively!

Kolawole Funmilayo
Kolawole Funmilayo
Head Housekeeper

I joined Care UK because I believed that working here would provide me with the opportunity to refine my skills, learn more from experienced professionals and contribute to delivering great experiences to residents.

I was proud to take on the leadership role of Head Housekeeper and to have the opportunity to mentor others and show them it’s okay to dream big.

As Head Housekeeper, one needs to possess an exceptional hospitality service, good communication skills and an eye for detail. The most important part of my role is meeting the standards that Care UK sets without any compromise.

My favourite part of my job is interacting with residents one-on-one and building a relationship with them. Seeing how the cleaning I do and the acts of service I perform for residents put smiles on their faces makes me proud that they are living a fulfilling life.

Outside of work, I love to spend lots of time with my family and loved ones. I also enjoy writing poems and stories.

Maintenance

My previous role was a Maintenance Assistant at Llys Cyncoed, so I am proud that I have developed in my career and been provided the opportunity to be a Maintenance Manager.

I originally wanted to work at Care UK, as I wanted to be a part of a company that truly believes in fulfilling lives. I get a buzz when I see residents happy and smiling, as I pass through the hallway, and I even stop for a cuppa.

In my spare time I enjoy playing football and spending time with my family.
