The team at Mercia Grange care home in Sutton Coldfield believe that when your loved one moves into a care home they’re entitled to enjoy a lifestyle that’s relaxing, pampered, active and varied.
Residents are supported to enjoy a meaningful lifestyle, with activities that are special to them. We do this by tailoring all aspects of your loved ones care to their unique needs, interests and preferences. We get to know how they like to spend their day and learn about their hobbies and interests, the jobs they’ve done, the places they’ve lived and the people who are dear to them.
It’s this attention to detail and commitment to the individual that led to us being rated as an ‘outstanding’ care home by the CQC in June 2019.
Our Sutton Coldfield care home tailors all aspects of each person’s care to their unique needs, interests and preferences. We get to know how your loved one likes to spend their day. We learn about their hobbies and interests, the jobs they’ve done, the places they’ve lived and the people who are dear to them. We then use this information to help them to enjoy a meaningful lifestyle, with activities and outings that are special to them.
We have our own coffee shop and bar, hair and beauty salon and cinema so your loved one can continue to get the most out of each day. And if your loved one gets a sense of purpose from having a familiar routine, like folding laundry, they’re welcome to help us around the home.
Mercia Grange has been designed to enhance the quality of life for every resident, whatever their needs. The home is subdivided into smaller suites on each floor, helping to keep hustle and bustle to a minimum, which is particularly important for residents who are living with dementia. In fact, every aspect of the home’s design, from the colour on the walls, to the carpets and furnishings, incorporate touches that help people living with dementia to feel at home and to find their way around independently.
Each of the home’s 67 en-suite bedrooms are beautifully decorated and furnished. And if your loved one likes the idea of being close to the garden, they can choose a room with direct access to our lovely landscaped gardens.
