The Burroughs celebrate the Royal Wedding with a Garden Party!

April 30th 2011

On Friday 29th April 2011 the team at The Burroughs transformed the care home fit for the Queen to celebrate the wedding of William and Kate.

At 3pm the residents descended into the garden for the celebration. They were met by friendly staff dressed as waitresses holding trays full of refreshments.

In the days leading up to the big event the staff at The Burroughs decorated the entire garden with red, white and blue bunting, flowers and table cloths.

As the residents, their families and friends tucked into a mammoth feast, an entertainer sang some old favourites. Some residents joined in the singing while others cheered and waved their flags.

As the event came to an end, residents, families and friends commented on how lovely the day had been and how they had enjoyed every moment of it.
