Norfolk House - care-types

Care types

Norfolk House offers a range of personalised care types, including residential, nursing and respite care, delivered by our professional team.

Putting person-centred care at the heart of Norfolk House, we ensure that residents love living at our purpose-built home. Within the welcoming atmosphere, we take time to listen to every resident’s story, learning their preferences, interests and what’s important to them. These details are included in their personalised care plan.

We know that choosing the perfect home for your loved one can be an emotional experience, which is why we’ve created this simple guide to the types of care offered at Norfolk House.

Dementia care

Encouraging residents to retain a sense of self-identity and independence, our team organises a range of activities for everyone to engage with. These include singalongs, gentle exercise, art sessions and time spent in our beautiful, secure gardens.

Your loved one’s comfortable en-suite room has plenty of space for their treasured possessions, allowing them to settle in with ease and feel at home.

Residential care

Purpose-built, Norfolk House provides cosy accommodation with a home from home atmosphere. A varied programme of events increases a sense of community and encourages engagement, and we take regular trips into nearby Weybridge for shopping or entertainment. Art and music sessions are very popular, and residents enjoy gentle exercises, strolling around the gardens, or feeling pampered at our in-house hair salon.

With bright and comfortable lounges, quiet areas and luxurious dining rooms, you can relax, knowing your loved one is enjoying the highest standard of care and compassion.

Nursing dementia care

Our team provides nursing care to residents who are living with dementia. We have qualified clinical colleagues on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week and we work closely with GPs and other healthcare professionals in the local community. So if your loved one has additional physical needs, from multiple sclerosis to stroke or a brain injury, in addition to a dementia diagnosis, our experienced clinical team is on hand to give them first class, tailored care.

Respite care

When you’re busy caring for a loved one at home, it can be hard to find time for yourself to enjoy the rest and rejuvenation you need. Our short-term respite care allows you to recharge your batteries, knowing your loved one is being looked after by our professional, understanding team. We also offer support to hospital leavers before they return home, smoothing the transition.

As your loved one reaches the end of their life, our discreet and compassionate team work with you, your family and GP, as well as medical specialists to design a care plan. Ensuring effective support and complete comfort, our sympathetic carers allow you the peace and calmness you need during this emotional time.
