Welcome to Oxbow Manor

Oxbow Manor care home in Shrewsbury offers tailored residential and dementia care in truly luxurious, purpose-built surroundings.

All our rooms at Oxbow Manor are beautifully furnished, individually decorated and have their own en-suite wet room. Our ground floor rooms have direct access to our beautifully landscaped secure gardens. The home also has a coffee shop, cinema room and hair and beauty salon, as well as extensive gardens and outdoor spaces.

Our home is divided into different suites with a collection of bedrooms, a dining room and lounge. Some of our suites offer rooms dedicated to relaxation, such as a namaste care room, library and hobby room. Creating smaller communities in the home makes it easier for residents to get to know each other, and it keeps hustle and bustle to a minimum.

Oxbow Manor is officially a ‘Veteran Friendly Framework’ accredited care home, recognising our best practice and highest standards of care for the Armed Forces community.

Thank you so much for all your help putting together the celebrations of Mum's 100th Birthday. I appreciate how much work and effort went into this, from organising children from the local nursery to come in and sing Happy Birthday, to the decorations of the 'Birthday room', the teacher themed cake, buffet meal and celebration refreshments. We couldn't have asked for much more and it was lovely to see Mum enjoy her day so much.

It was extremely heart warming to see how much money is invested into the activities / lifestyles of the residents. I saw an upbeat large team providing an excellent range of activities to residents.

The food is good home-cooked food, not out of a microwave. There is a good variety and my loved one has never had the same meal twice since living there. There are always fresh vegetables and the staff go out of their way to give the residents what they want. The chef is very good, and makes delicious cakes for the cafe.

The staff are lovely, they all stop and chat with the residents and know them by name, ensure they are eating well and have everything they need. They encourage residents to get involved with the events in the home… they have activities every day, usually morning and afternoon, and they provide a weekly schedule so everyone can see what's happening... we are invited to join in if we want. They are very caring people working there... it's a good team.
