Meet our friendly care team

It is the people who make our home a truly happy and caring one. At Sleaford Manor, our experienced team of dedicated professionals all of whom undergo our own in-depth training programme. The whole team works to make sure that residents' needs are at the heart of everything they do and that personalised care is provided.

Claire Gordon-Rundle

Home Manager

Claire Gordon-Rundle

My favourite part of the day is seeing residents and colleagues happy.

We have a wonderful mix of personalities here at Sleaford Manor, and there is often a lot of laughter.

The residents at Sleaford Manor form strong friendships with each other and regularly recognise the hard work of the team, which is lovely to see. Many of the core team have been part of the care home since we opened, and each person brings their own strengths to the home.

I hold NVQ Levels 2, 3 and 5, a Higher Apprenticeship in Adult Care Management and a degree in Autistic Spectrum Disorders. I have worked in the care sector since leaving school in 1986, spending ten of those years specialising in autism.

To do this role well, I believe you need patience, honesty and an approachable nature. You must be a people-person who can relate to others and understand the needs of residents and their families and friends.

My biggest career achievements have been commissioning new homes. Sleaford Manor is my third, and I am extremely proud of what we have created. I am also proud of my continued learning and the positive relationships I have built with residents, families and fellow colleagues.

The most important part of my role is simple: residents’ satisfaction.

Outside of work, I enjoy walking my Boxer dog, Chester, especially along the Cornwall coastline. I love concerts, holidays and dining out, and once completed a skydive for Alzheimer’s Society, raising almost £2,000.

Deputy Manager

I bring a range of experience and qualifications to my role as deputy manager at Sleaford Manor. I hold NVQ Level 2 and 3 qualifications and earlier in my career, I worked within the NHS at a local hospital, where I developed a strong foundation of clinical skills and a real appreciation for compassionate, high-quality care. I later joined Sleaford Manor as a Day Lead, which gave me valuable insight into the home and the needs of both residents and colleagues.

For me, being a Deputy Manager is about listening and being present. I believe it is important to always be on hand for residents and colleagues, no matter how busy the day may be. Creating a supportive, calm and responsive environment helps everyone feel valued and confident.

My favourite part of the day is seeing residents happy and engaged. Watching them connect with others and enjoy their day makes me very happy. I am proud when I see a settled home and a strong, positive team working together.

Becoming Deputy Manager has been a real career highlight for me, especially working alongside such kind, caring and dedicated people. I feel proud knowing we are making a difference together.

The most important part of my role is ensuring that every resident receives truly person-centred care and that everyone in the home feels happy, supported and at ease.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time away with my partner and our dogs. I also love crafting and quilting, which I find both relaxing and creative.

Home Administrator

I am the Home Administrator at Sleaford Manor and bring a broad range of experience to my role. I hold Level 2 and 3 qualifications in Business Administration, have completed various computer courses, and hold a NEBOSH General Certificate. I also have a first-class honours degree in Psychotherapy and previously worked as a psychotherapist, alongside more than 15 years’ experience as an administrator across a variety of industries.

Organisation is at the heart of what I do, and I would describe myself as someone with a real eye for detail. I enjoy thinking creatively, staying flexible and working with integrity, while always approaching people with empathy and strong communication skills. These qualities help me support residents, relatives and colleagues in a calm and effective way.

My favourite part of the day is problem solving. Every day is different, and I enjoy finding solutions that help the home run smoothly and make a positive difference for the people around me. I am proud that people feel comfortable coming to me for support and trust that I will do my best to help.

One of my biggest career highlights was building a brand-new department within an organisation and putting policies, procedures and administrative systems in place from the ground up.

The most important part of my role is being a welcoming first point of contact for colleagues, families and residents, helping everyone feel supported from the moment they arrive.

Outside of work, I own horses which keep me very busy. I am also passionate about health, nutrition and fitness, love music, and most importantly enjoy being a mum.
