Poole Borough Council appoints Care UK as preferred bidder for innovative service transfer

Company news

Care UK's winning proposals involve the replacement of the Council's remaining residential care home with a larger, state of the art resource centre facility which incorporates the day care centre and the office base for the homecare service as well as additional services not currently provided by the Borough.

Care UK are currently seeking a site for the development of the new centre which is planned to open in 2007.

Richard Pearman, Care UK's Development Director, said "we are enthusiastic about the opportunity to bring these three specialist services together for the benefit of older people in Poole with mental health problems. We plan to build on the excellent foundations provided by the Council's existing services and work with the transferring staff to continuously improve the quality and reach of the services over the course of the contract."
