Design award a great gift for our first “birthday”

Home news

We celebrated our first anniversary in style by beating off stiff competition from around the UK to win the Elderly Care Contemporary Design award at the prestigious Pinders Healthcare Design Awards in London.

St. Vincent’s House was designed by award-winning DWA Architects in York. Although a very modern building, it has been designed with the architecture of surrounding buildings in mind, including the Hammersmith Apollo Theatre. It uses generous amounts of glazing to create a warm and welcoming feel, and has a strong character that puts it at the forefront of standard care home design.

We are fully wheelchair accessible, with a lift to the upper floors, and have the most up to date equipment and facilities.

Karen Ottaway our manager commented: “We were delighted to learn that we   had won an architectural award to coincide with our first anniversary.

“Residents and their families love the atmosphere here, and we believe that the look and feel of the building provides considerable support to our professional objective, which is to give each of our residents a pleasant, peaceful and fulfilling stay with us that fits their requirements exactly.”
