Indian dancing display thrills Forrester Court residents

Home news

Residents were treated to an afternoon of traditional Indian dancing performed by two of the home’s carers.

Carers and dance enthusiasts Abirami Eswar and Charlotte Bernstein gave every resident a leaflet describing the ancient story behind the Indian dance Kathak. They then began the performance by teaching the residents some of the basic hand movements and residents who were able to, joined in.

The show brought loud applause and comments from the residents included: “This was fantastic you girls danced well and I wish I could dance like you both”, “Beautiful dancing and it was wonderful to see something different.”

Abirami said: “The hall was packed and it was a fabulous event and we had a fantastic response from our residents and staff.”
