The Burroughs breaks out the bunting for the royal couple

Home news

The Burroughs was transformed into a home fit for the Queen, to celebrate the wedding of William and Kate on April 29th.

At 3pm the residents descended into the garden for the celebration, where they were met by staff dressed as waitresses holding trays full of refreshments. In the days leading up to the wedding, our staff had decorated the entire garden with red, white and blue bunting, flowers and table cloths.

The residents were soon joined by family and friends and everyone joined in the celebrations and enjoyed the day to the fullest.

Residents tucked into a mammoth feast as an entertainer played old hits and encouraged the residents to join in the singing. Those who chose to save their voices cheered on their friends and waved their flags.

As the event came to an end, the families and friends commented on how lovely the day had been, and that they really enjoyed every moment of it.
