We enjoy our pamper

Our residents enjoyed some special pampering and some youthful company when students from West Suffolk College came in to offer hand massages, nail filing and painting for all.

The students, aged 14-16 were all on the college’s health and beauty course and the sessions gave them a chance to test out their skills.

Carer Jenna Jones said “The residents absolutely loved it; it’s something really different for them. The atmosphere was so nice because they love it when younger people and children come to the home.”

Michele Faiers, Head of Schooling Programmes at West Suffolk, said the students enjoyed the day too. She said: “They said the experience will stay with them a long time. It was something totally different for them.”

The students were in Year 11 at Thetford Academy and they attend the course one day a week, with tutor Clare Turnbull leading the class.
