Care UK shortlisted for In-house Recruitment Awards

Care UK has been shortlisted for the In-house Recruitment Awards in the Large Recruitment Team category.

The awards recognise the growing success of in-house recruitment teams and the individuals within them, acknowledging and celebrating their accomplishments.

This time, Care UK is being recognised for an exceptional past 12 months of growth and progression as an organisation that continues to expand, developing new processes to recruit those who reflect the values of caring, passionate and teamwork.

Alongside supporting a significant internal restructure in the past 12 months, Care UK’s recruitment team has worked tirelessly  to reduce agency usage, ensuring that familiar faces can continue to deliver quality, person-centred care for residents.

The recruitment team is committed to recruiting individuals who genuinely care. By prioritising this, the team has not only improved retention but has also helped drive Care UK to have more Outstanding-rated homes than any other large provider in England, as rated by the Care Quality Commission.

The team invested in attracting new-to-sector candidates to build a future-proof workforce, and have also supported work experience in their Colchester Support Centre, allowing college students to gain a deeper insight into departments like HR and finance.

Moreover, Care UK’s Open Doors programme has involved opening care homes to school pupils to challenge their preconceptions of care home careers..

Human Resources Director, Leah Queripel said: “We are proud to have been shortlisted for the In-house Recruitment Awards. Our team strives to continually improve and be market leaders in health and social care recruitment, as well as investing in our people to develop them throughout their career with Care UK.”

The winner will be announced on 26th November  in London at Westminster Bridge.
