Chesterfield Hospital voted among top in the country

Company news

A Chesterfield NHS hospital has been rated among the top ten patient-recommended hospitals in the country.

Barlborough Treatment Centre scored highly on the NHS Choices website, which gives people information about health services as well as allowing them to give their opinions on hospitals and clinics.

Independently run by Care UK, the treatment centre on Lindrick Way, Barlborough, Chesterfield, was voted the seventh most recommended hospital nationally, with 97 per cent saying they would recommend the hospital to a friend.
Graeme Kendall, general manager at Barlborough NHS Treatment Centre, said: “This is fantastic news for the treatment centre and for people in the Chesterfield area.

“Being ranked in the top ten of all UK hospitals by the patients themselves is a real testament to the outstanding levels of care and services we provide. “As an independently run service on behalf of the NHS, it is always great to hear that patients value our services highly.”

The NHS Choices analysis revealed that hospitals run by the independent sector on behalf of the NHS scored particularly well with patients, with eight of the 20 hospitals reviewed on NHS Choices being either NHS treatment centres or privately run hospitals that offer NHS treatments.
