Care UK celebrated its best carers at its annual awards dinner recently and judges admitted it was a tough year, with so many first rate entries coming from the company’s 88 services across England and Scotland.

144 colleagues, including managers, carers, chefs and directors celebrated their achievements at this year’s Awards and Gala Dinner on Thursday 24th November.

The Care UK Awards are designed to recognise excellence, celebrate success and share best practice with colleagues. This year, the judges received a record number of nominations, a true reflection of the dedication, expertise and innovation of our people.

60 finalists were invited to a Judging Day on 2nd November, when they were interviewed by members of the Executive Team. The awards were held at the Five Lakes Crown Plaza resort near Colchester.

Managing Director Toby Siddall said: “This really was an exceptional year. Across the company, we have dedicated people who give their best, day after day, to ensure residents and service users enjoy genuinely person-centred care that helps them maintain their independence and interests.”
