December is a month of fun at Forrester Court

Home news

Forrester Court residents have been enjoying a month of festive fun throughout December.

They started off the month making cards and decorations and giving the home a festive feel, before enjoying some pantomime fun.

Senior Activities Coordinator Melody Patman said: “We had a great time making cards and decorations with the residents. Everyone had a wonderful time making the home look as festive as we could.”

A visit from the Rah-Rah Theatre group kept residents entertained with a performance of Dick Whittington.

“The residents loved the performance,” Melody said.

“There were lots of giggles and interactions with the ‘Oh no he isn’ts’ and ‘He’s behind yous’.”

More visits from theatre groups have ensured there has been plenty of fun for all, whilst a mince pies and mulled wine evening with the home’s regular entertainers, Simon and Beth, rounded off the Christmas build-up.

Melody said: “Christmas is a very special time in our home when we can celebrate, remember Christmases past and create new and special memories for our residents and their relatives.”
