Home news

Members of Care UK’s Tax Office Management team visited St Vincent’s House recently and spent time to sprucing up the gardens and providing some additions for the home’s much-loved grounds.

The team of six worked very hard in the garden, painting the wooden borders on raised vegetable patches and tidying up some overgrown areas.

Activities coordinator Rita Matusediciute explained: “We have an active gardening club, but the bad weather has prevented them getting out as much as they would like. The team did a wonderful job and the club hope to make the most of it as the good weather returns.”

For the non-gardeners, the team also brought a bird feeder and seed. Rita said: “Many residents like to sit out and watch the birds or watch them from their windows, so they were delighted with the generous gift.”

After all their hard work, the team sat down and shared some delicious cakes and biscuits they had brought with them.

Rita added: “The residents enjoyed having a chat and a piece of cake; they also wanted to say thank you to everyone for their hard work and generosity.”
