We put on the kettle and put our best foot forward for tea dance fun

Home news

Our 1950s tea dance held on Monday 22nd July involved all of our residents’ favourite things – music, dancing, tea and cake! The event was held in our activity room which we decorated with fresh lavender from our garden.

Care UK’s preferred supplier PG Tips kindly provided us with a selection of six different flavoured teas and a CD of 1950s music.

Our kitchen team baked some beautiful cakes to complement tea and we rounded up the afternoon with some dancing to some well loved toe-tapping 1950s tunes.

Our activities co-ordinator Rita said: “Everyone had a wonderful time and it was great to see the younger and older generations mixing so well together and enjoying each other’s company.”
