The May Fair which was opened by the Mayor and Mayoress of Hillingdon, Allan and Lynne Kauffman, dates back over one hundred years and took place on the Green.
The event consisted of a variety of traditional stalls, including food stalls and a beer tent. It was also attended by the local group of Morris dancers who entertained with their rhythmic stepping, waving of handkerchiefs and jingling of bells, whilst children enjoyed rides on an old-fashioned merry-go-round and stroked animals in the petting zoo.
Another highlight was the crowning of the May Queen for another year. Local exhibitors were also present on the Green, including the local Wildlife Trust, and of course, The Burroughs who took the opportunity to showcase their beautiful home and hand out invitations to their forthcoming 'Understanding Dementia' event.
As The Burroughs and Franklin House are just a stone's throw away from the Green, a number of residents took the opportunity to visit and join in the celebrations.
Organiser of the May Fair, John Davies thanked Michael Krasser for Care UK's participation in the event and invited them to join in next year's May Fair!
