Kidderminster care home raises a cuppa for charity

The team at Brook Court care home in Kidderminster put the kettle on for the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning last week to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Friends and family dropped in to the care home on Oldnall Road and enjoyed a leisurely cuppa and homemade cakes – all of which were available for a donation to the charity.

Joanne Gill, home manager at Brook Court, said “We want to say a big thank you to everyone that came along to the coffee morning and helped us raise over £200 for Macmillan Cancer Support. It was great to join forces with friends and family and give something back to a charity which focuses on helping and supporting people.”

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer.  Last year alone the initiative raised £25 million for the charity, thanks to people from all over the UK hosting their own coffee mornings and making donations on the day to Macmillan.
