Care Home Open Day success at Little Holland Hall care home

Company news

Little Holland Hall care home on Frinton Road welcomed the people of Holland on Sea through its doors for an event to celebrate Care Home Open Day.

Little Holland Hall was one of thousands of care homes across the UK which took part in the annual initiative aimed at challenging perceptions of care homes, connecting residents with even more people in their community, and developing relationships across the generations.

Residents and visitors enjoyed a host of activities at Little Holland Hall including a ‘right royal knees up’ to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday. There was a barbecue, live music, balloon modelling, and a Punch & Judy show, along with games and stalls including a coconut shy and a fun Splat the Rat competition.

Deborah Rich, home manager at Little Holland Hall, said: “Our doors are always open, but Care Home Open Day was a brilliant opportunity to celebrate with visitors, residents and colleagues alike.  We all are proud of the warm and welcoming quality care environment we have created here at Little Holland Hall, and we took great delight in showcasing our home and all the good work we do here.

“The day was a real success, and everyone enjoyed getting involved in the activities and building on our links with the local community.”
