Armstrong House gets lucky with The Geordie Shamrocks

Home news

Residents and relatives enjoyed a fun-filled evening recently, when they were lucky enough to have been entertained by local band, The Geordie Shamrocks.

The Irish band was created by the Felling Irish Association, a charity which promotes an interest in Irish history and customs and whose members are predominantly Irish who are keen to keep in touch with their ethnic origins.

The Geordie Shamrocks entertained residents, who enjoyed the fun evening of Irish entertainment and singing, along with a pie and pea supper and the obligatory Guinness, of course.

Home manager, Shirley Summerbell  said:  “A huge thanks to the Geordie Shamrocks for the wonderful entertainment – it was fantastic to see our residents in full voice having an excellent time.”  She also thanked the Irish Felling Association for their kind contribution to the evening.
