Community fair fun coming to Halstead care home

Home news

The team at Colne View care home and day club in Halstead is opening the doors to the public on Saturday 20th August for its annual summer fair.

From 11am until 3pm, local people are invited to drop into the care home on Colchester Road to share in the fun, games and summer celebrations at this year’s event.

The summer fair will include stalls selling handmade crafts, plenty of family-friendly games, including a coconut shy, face painting and a disco-bouncy castle to keep visitors of all ages entertained.

There will also be a tempting barbecue and visitors will be able to try their hand at ‘movement to music’ in a special session hosted by Fred’s Performing Arts.

Omar Taylor, home manager at Care UK’s Colne View, said: “Hosting a summer fair provides us with a great opportunity to invite the local community to join us for a day of family-friendly fun and games. There is a real buzz around the care home already, with preparations now well underway.

“Here at Colne View, it is important for us to build strong relationships with the people of Halstead and we look forward to welcoming those in the local area to join us for what promises to be a fantastic day of fun and games.”
