Eye care home to host coffee morning for Macmillan

Home news

Residents and colleagues at Hartismere Place care home are calling on the local community to join them for coffee and cake in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Hartismere Place will be opening its doors as part of Macmillan’s national fundraising event, ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’, on Friday, 30th September, from 10.30am to 12noon.

Cathryn Weed, home manager at Hartismere Place, said: “Macmillan’s Coffee Morning is a flagship fundraising event each year and we’re really looking forward to taking part. Our head chef will be baking some delicious cakes for the event and the Hartismere Place team here will also be bringing in their favourite sweet treats to share. We’ll also have some musical entertainment from a local singer at 11am. All are welcome to pop in and help us fundraise as much as we can for Macmillan.”

Hartismere Place is one of six Care UK care homes taking part in the Macmillan Coffee Morning across Suffolk, all raising money for the vital work of Macmillan Cancer Support.
