Charlotte House is taken back to 1950s with visit from Elvis

It was party time for residents at Charlotte House when ‘the King’ visited, entertaining residents with rock ‘n’ roll classics.

Residents were joined by the people of Isleworth to share in the fun, games and summer celebrations at the home’s annual summer party.  

The residents and visitors were taken back to the 1950s with a performance of Elvis’ greatest hits, including Blue Suede Shoes, Hound Dog and Jailhouse Rock. Guests also enjoyed a selection of tasty treats, including a barbecue prepared specially by the care home’s chefs.

Zoe Smith, home manager at Charlotte House, said: “Our annual summer party gives us a great opportunity to invite the local community to join us for a day of family-friendly fun and games. The Elvis impersonator was a huge hit and helped create a fantastic atmosphere, with many of our residents and guests singing along, tapping their feet and getting in to the party spirit.

“For many of the residents, this is the music they grew up with and it was great to hear about memories brought back by listening to classic Elvis hits!”
