Skylark House takes a walk down memory lane for charity

Home news

Residents and team members from Skylark House recently took part in a memory walk in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society.

The team, along with four residents at Skylark House care home on St Marks Lane, took part in a one mile circuit around the local park.

Throughout the year, thousands of people of all ages and abilities have joined their local Alzheimer’s Memory Walks, all to help raise money for a ‘world without dementia.’

Devendra Lallchand, home manager at Skylark House, said: “We had a great time taking part in a memory walk throughout Horsham for the Alzheimer’s Society, and were thrilled to be supported by so many relatives and friends of Skylark House.

“At Skylark House we are always looking for ways to generate awareness for worthwhile causes, and this was a wonderful opportunity to raise £120 for a charity close to the hearts of everyone at Skylark House. We hope the local community will follow in the residents’ footsteps by taking part in their own memory walk in aid of the charity.”
