A helping hand from Silversprings

Silversprings is inviting the local community to a free event offering support and advice to local people considering care for their loved one.

On Thursday 23rd November, from 2pm-4pm, the team at Silversprings will open the doors to the care home on Tenpenny Hill for its free ‘A helping hand for carers’ event.

Following the launch of Care UK’s latest guide for carers, A helping hand, the event aims to provide guidance and support to families caring for a loved one. It also explores the different ways in which carers can ensure they maintain their own health and wellbeing.

The team at Silversprings will be on hand to discuss topics within the guide in further detail, and explain the different sources and support available to carers in North East Essex.

After the event there will be a Q&A session, and those who attend will also have the opportunity to meet the team at Silversprings and take a tour of the care home.

Silversprings home manager, Donna Cousins, said: “Here at Silversprings, we strongly believe that being informed and sharing experiences can make a real difference to those caring for a loved one. Similar events have proven to be incredibly popular, so we are looking forward to welcoming local people to Silversprings for what promises to be an interesting and inspiring afternoon of information and guidance.

“As well as having the opportunity to discuss a number of topics with the team at Silversprings, those who attend the event will also be able to pick up a copy of the latest guide, A helping hand, to take away with them.”
