Heather View helps spread the festive feeling

Home news

Heather View is inviting the local community to experience a winter wonderland at its Christmas fete.

On Sunday 3rd December, from 12 noon-4pm, the team at Heather View on Beacon Road will open the doors to the home to bring festive cheer to the town.

A selection of festive treats will be on offer and visitors will be able to start their Christmas shopping at a number of stalls. Guests will also have the opportunity to win one of two luxury Christmas hampers. For younger guests, there will be plenty of games and activities in Santa’s Grotto, with a possible sighting of Father Christmas himself.

Members of Stage Door Drama will also be on hand to get everyone in the Christmas spirit, and guests will be invited to join them in singing some of the best loved carols around the tree. As with previous years, the draw for the Grand Raffle will top off the fun-filled afternoon, with all proceeds going to the local Brownies group who frequently visit residents at the home.

Natasha King, interim home manager at Heather View, said: “There have been so many highlights at Heather View over the past year, and we’re all looking forward to celebrating Christmas here at the home. It is important to us to forge relationships with the local community, and inviting them to our Christmas fair is a great way to spread the festive feeling.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming the Royal British Legion, Folly Wildlife Animal Rescue and the East Sussex Fire & Rescue service for what promises to be an exciting afternoon. With so much planned, we hope the local community will join us to celebrate the festive period.”
