On Friday 20th April, from 10.30am-4pm, the team at Laurel Dene will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
To commemorate the Queen’s 92ndbirthday, Laurel Dene has organised a royal-inspired party to celebrate the open day. With homemade crowns at the ready, there will be a 1950s themed afternoon tea, live music plus arts and crafts for visitors to take part. There will also be a chance to meet Laurel Dene’s friendly team and take a closer look at the care home.
Dacre Lassauniere, home manager at Laurel Dene, said: “Care Home Open Day provides residents and the team with a fantastic opportunity to welcome the local community in to home. There is already a buzz around the home, as residents prepare for the big day. We hope that the people of Hampton will join us in celebrating the Queen’s birthday and making this year’s Care Home Open Day one to remember.”
