Join Woodland Hall for fun from around the world this Care Home Open Day

Home news

Woodland Hall is inviting local people to join in its celebrations for Care Home Open Day.

On Sunday 22nd April, from 2pm-4pm the team at Woodland Hall will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.

Woodland Hall has organised a Commonwealth themed party to celebrate the open day, with residents making homemade bunting, inspired by countries from around the Commonwealth to decorate the home. Visitors can look forward to activities and games for all the family including pampering sessions with hand massages and manicures, giant board games and a tombola. There will also be a live performance from a steel drum band.

A variety of food dishes inspired by countries across the Commonwealth will be served, and visitors will also have a chance to meet Woodland Hall’s friendly team.

Zena Khudawes, customer relations manager at Woodland Hall, said: “At Woodland Hall, we’re always looking for ways to get to know our neighbours and building relationships with the local community. Care Home Open Day is a brilliant way of bringing generations together for a fun-filled day.

“We look forward to welcoming the people of Stanmore for what promises to be a fantastic open day in honour of the Commonwealth.”
