The team at Charlotte House welcomed the people of Isleworth to enjoy Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative set up to develop lasting relationships between care homes and local communities, and to dispel common myths about care home life.
The team marked the occasion by throwing a royal-inspired party in celebration of the Queen’s 92nd birthday. Residents and guests enjoyed live musical entertainment from duo Roland & Melissa, and took part in a variety of exciting games and activities, including a fact-filled royal quiz, as well as indoor golf and cricket. Residents and guests also enjoyed a delicious selection of ‘Best of British’ cuisine.
Zoe Smith, home manager at Charlotte House, said: “We had a fantastic afternoon marking Care Home Open Day at Charlotte House. The residents all really enjoyed celebrating the Queen’s birthday and getting involved with all of the brilliant games and activities that took place.
“Care Home Open Day is all about building bridges with our local community, and showing what life in a care home is really like, so it was fantastic to see so many of our neighbours come along to celebrate. We would like to say a big thank you to the people of Isleworth for making the day so special.”
