On Tuesday 18th September, from 2pm - 4pm, the team at Pear Tree Court will open the doors to the care home for its ‘Staying safe in older age’ event.
Police Community Support Officers, Rob Earl and Kieren Rogers, will be on hand to deliver an informative session on how to stay safe at home. They will also offer expert information on scam awareness, cyber safety and prevention of doorstep crime.
After the event there will be a Q&A session, refreshments and an opportunity to meet the team at Pear Tree Court, as well as take a closer look at the care home.
Home manager, Ray Arnold, said: “Here at Pear Tree Court,we understand that providing advice and guidance onthe importance of staying safe on the internet and at home can be incredibly helpful for everyone, but especially for older people, as they are often targeted by scams and cold calling.
“We are delighted to have Kieren and Rob joining us, who can provide professional guidance in this area, and we hope local people will take the opportunity to benefit from their expertise.”
