Pear Tree Court is a stunning care home in Waterlooville, Hampshire. Here our dedicated team delivers round-the-clock residential and nursing care, short-term respite care plus specialist dementia care. We also offer sensitive and sympathetic end of life care.

Everyone at Pear Tree Court is passionate about helping your loved one to get the most out of living in our beautiful home. The home has the latest in luxury facilities, including a café, hair salon and cinema – the home even has its own pub. Our dedicated lifestyle team is here to support your loved one to stay active and independent, enjoying interests and trying new things.

Our Horndean care home has 72 en-suite bedrooms over three floors. The home is divided into smaller suites – each with its own lounge, dining room and TV lounge. While every bedroom is beautifully decorated and furnished, your loved one is welcome to bring their own treasured items and small pieces of furniture to feel more at home.

Pear Tree Court is officially a ‘Veteran Friendly Framework’ accredited care home, recognising our best practice and highest standards of care for the Armed Forces community.

My favourite part of being a Home Manager is caring for residents on a long-term basis. This means I have the opportunity to really get to know them and their families and understand how to support them to live fulfilling lives.

The staff have made the effort to get to know my loved one. He is not able to interact, but they understand his needs and treat him with with a great deal of kindness and respect. He has a modified diet, which we thought would be difficult to make appetising, but they managed to organise everything so it is presented nicely, and it's nice and tasty... they have been very good. It's just a nice environment, and a very thoughtful team working there.

The place is very well organised and laid out. It’s a very welcoming space with a coffee lounge where residents can take visitors for tea and cake, and they have a nice, easily accessible garden area. We have had a couple of family celebrations in the home and the management were very helpful setting it up... last summer we had a tea party in the garden and there is nice function room upstairs that can be used for private gatherings. It's a friendly, welcoming place... the staff all recognise us when we visit and make us feel very welcome.

The people working there are clealry committed and they seem to enjoy their work. They are very mindful that my loved one is there for respite care due to physical issues but that his mental capacity is unaffected, so they make an effort to spend time with him and speak with him about his life, they engage with him and make sure he is stimulated... they show a genuine interest in him. They are very respectful when helping with his physical needs... always encouraging and mindful of his safety.
