New leadership team takes the helm at Sale care homeA new care home in Sale has appointed several members of the local community for its senior team.

Daniel Cole, home manager at the new Oakfield Croft care home, has recruited a senior team with a wealth of experience. This includes Chris Critchley, deputy home manager, Jayne Eyre, customer relations manager; Elaine Clarke, head housekeeper; Gary Child, maintenance manager; Emily Coates, business administrator, Vivek Jesudas Nayagam, head chef.

Commenting on the appointments, Daniel said: “Oakfield Croft is a state-of-the-art care home and, while every design detail has been considered to provide the highest standards of care, having the right people working in the home is crucial to the overall experience of residents.”

Chris Critchley, deputy home manager, joined the team because of Care UK’s vision, values and excellent standards of care delivered to residents, and is excited to work as part of a team that has created a care home from scratch. Chris was appointed as one of the youngest deputy managers in his previous role, he commented: “I am excited to be joining a forward-thinking, growing care provider and to be helping Daniel to deliver person-centred care that supports every resident and their family members as individuals.”

Elaine Clarke, head housekeeper, said: “I’m looking forward to working within a care home environment that treats each resident and relative as an individual. Knowing I’ve made a difference to someone’s day, is something I’m incredibly proud to be able to do. I believe my wealth of experience, particularly as a head housekeeper in the hotel industry, will help me fulfil my role to an exceptional standard.”

Jayne Eyre, customer relations manager, added: “It’s a privilege to be a part of the Oakfield Croft story right from the beginning. I’m looking forward to creating bonds with residents and to the journey ahead as we make our new care home a friendly and inviting place to call home.”

Daniel added, “I know I am speaking on behalf of myself and the new team when I say we are proud of the welcoming and friendly environment which is already taking shape here at Oakfield Croft.”

The home, which opens on the 23rd March, is designed to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives, while also promoting independence, the new care home will incorporate space for hobby and leisure activities. The layout of the building will be configured into a series of individual suites, each having a dedicated lounge/dining room to help facilitate the creation of close-knit communities, as well as facilities like a cinema, coffee shop and hair salon.
