Popular ‘planning care for the future’ event returns to Hampshire care homes

Home news

Two care homes in Hampshire are hosting a virtual event designed to provide support for those considering their loved one’s future care.

On Thursday 28th January, from 11am-12.30pm, the Care UK teams at Pear Tree Court, in Waterlooville, and Ancasta Grove, a brand-new care home in Southampton, will be hosting a free ‘Planning care for the future’ online event for the community.

A financial adviser from Elder Care and a solicitor from Verisona Law will provide professional advice and guidance about funding long-term care for a loved one – whether it’s in their own home or in a care home. The talk will include information about Power of Attorney and wills, and the benefits local people may be entitled to when caring for a loved one.

At the end of the event, the teams at the care homes and the experts will be on hand for a helpful Q&A session.

Nicola Richards, Home Manager at Pear Tree Court, said: “We hope all those considering the future care of a loved one will take the opportunity to benefit from our expertise, as the advice and guidance provided at this event has always been very well received.”

Ray Arnold, Home Manager at Ancasta Grove, added: “We know that planning future care can bring up a lot of questions, so we are delighted to welcome local professionals to our virtual event, both are experts in their field and can provide practical advice and support.”

For anyone unsure about how to take part in the virtual event, help is at hand. The Care UK team will host the event using Zoom, an online meeting space. Simply call or email Customer Relations Manager, Emily Forbes at Pear Tree Court or Christopher Roby at Ancasta Grove, and they will send a link to join the event and can call participants to help set up Zoom ahead of the session.

Pear Tree Court and Ancasta Grove are state-of-the-art care homes which provide full-time residential, nursing and dementia care, as well as short-term respite care. The care homes have cinemas and hair salons, and there is plenty of space both indoors and out for relaxation and recreation.

To book your free place at this event, please contact Customer Relations Manager, Emily Forbes on 02392 986773, or at emily.forbes@careuk.com, or email Customer Relations Manager, Christopher Roby at Christopher.roby@careuk.com or phone 02392 982 479.
