Imagine the best of care delivered in stunning surroundings, where everything is tailored to your loved one’s needs and interests.
When Care UK’s new Ancasta Grove care home opens in Sarisbury Green, Southampton this year, it will offer all this and more.
Care from a passionate team
The home’s dedicated team will provide residential, nursing and dementia care on a permanent and respite basis. All our colleagues are trained to the highest standards and are passionate about getting to know every resident like a member of their own family. We will learn all about your loved one’s personality and life story, so that we can tailor every aspect of their care and daily life at the home to their needs, preferences and interests.
Delivering a range of care options, our expert team offers residential, nursing care and dementia care, meaning Ancasta Grove is truly a home for life should your needs change over time. We also provide short term respite care, and highly compassionate end of life care, allowing you to focus on what matters.
A luxurious care home
Our brand new care home in Southampton will have its own café and bar, cinema, and hair and beauty salon which residents will be able to use whenever they wish. Our landscaped gardens will be perfect for a stroll, growing fruit and vegetables, or simply for sitting and enjoying the Hampshire sunshine.
At Care UK, we believe that moving into a care home is just another part of life. We ensure that every resident is supported to enjoy fulfilling activities and experiences every day, so that they have the very best quality of life. Our lifestyle team will organise group and one-to-one activities, as well as entertainment and outings. Your loved one can even do light tasks around the home if they wish.
Delivering the latest in dementia care
Our colleagues will receive the latest dementia training designed by Care UK and the experts at the University of Worcester. What’s more, the home itself will be built to the latest dementia standards. It will be divided into smaller suites to create a homely atmosphere. On the dementia suite, everything from the colour scheme to the signage, lighting and furnishings will be designed to support people living with dementia.

Superb facilities, a great location, and activities galore… At Ancasta Grove there will be something for every resident to enjoy.
At Care UK our approach to care is all about supporting residents to continue enjoying a meaningful lifestyle – doing whatever brings them purpose and joy. Keeping active and engaged in everyday life has been proven to reduce falls and promote wellbeing in older people. It’s even thought to slow the development of dementia in individuals with this diagnosis.
A personalised approach to care
Getting to know your loved one is key to providing activities and experiences that they’ll love, so when they first join us, we’ll work with you and your loved one to put together a life storybook. This is all about your loved one’s career, family, interests, holidays and places they’ve lived – even pets they’ve had. No detail is too small to be included – in fact, it’s the little details that really matter to us.
Spend your day as you wish
When we have a good understanding of your loved one, we’ll put together care and lifestyle plans that will enable them to live each day in the way they wish – whether that’s helping in the garden, enjoying regular exercise sessions, dancing, baking, music or artistic pastimes.
Our lifestyle team will organise a range of group and one-to-one activities each day, plus regular outings to the seaside or to local historic towns like Winchester or Chichester, or to the many world-class museums that are on our doorstep in Portsmouth.
Welcoming family and friends
We’re looking forward to getting to know members of the local community, and inviting them in to give talks or do activities. Intergenerational activities are always a big hit with residents, so we’re hoping to forge links with local schools and nurseries so we can do fun activities together. Professional entertainers will visit on a regular basis, and we plan to host our own events when we can open our doors to friends from the community.
Our new Ancasta Grove care home in Sarisbury Green is in a fantastic location, between Southampton and Portsmouth, just off the M27 and close to the M3. We’re easy to find but in a charming wooded setting, close to the picturesque River Hamble. You will be welcome to visit your loved one whenever you wish and stay for as long as you like – join in activities, stay for a meal, or take your loved one out for the day. We hope you come to see our home as your home too.
