Tens across the board – Quorn care home gets the perfect score

A care home in Quorn is celebrating after receiving a perfect score on a leading review website.

Care UK’s Lonsdale Mews, on Farley Way, has been awarded a review score of 10 by leading website carehome.co.uk – the highest possible mark.

The score was calculated using reviews written by relatives, who were impressed by the home’s activity programme, including regular exercise sessions, more recently a St Patrick’s Day celebration and even a disco. Many of them also noted positive improvements in their loved ones’ health since moving to the home, praising the team’s kindness and the high quality of meals prepared by the home’s chef – from special dishes to tailored desserts to suit residents’ tastes and cravings. 

Toby Sturgess, Home Manager at Lonsdale Mews, said: “I’m incredibly proud of everyone here at Lonsdale Mews. Securing a review score of 10 is no easy feat in the best times, so to achieve this during a global pandemic is a credit to their hard work and dedication. Residents come first, no matter what, so I’m pleased to see the team’s commitment to residents’ wellbeing recognised.

“We opened just over six months ago, and we can’t thank local families enough for trusting us with their loved ones’ care. Reading all these positive reviews has been truly heart-warming, so we’d like to say a big thank you to them for their kind comments.

Lonsdale Mews offers full-time residential, nursing and dementia care, as well as short-term respite. The home incorporates space for hobby and leisure activities and includes its own cinema, hairdressing salon and café. The layout of the building is configured into a series of individual suites, each having a dedicated lounge/dining room to help facilitate the creation of close-knit communities.
