An Aberdeen care home hosted its very own royal celebrations to mark the Queen’s 95th Birthday.
Residents at Care UK’s Tor Na Dee, on North Deeside Road, were delighted to spend the day enjoying a royal afternoon tea, and reminiscing.
Maureen Barrett, Home Manager at Tor Na Dee, said: “We had a wonderful time celebrating the Queen’s 95th Birthday here at Tor Na Dee.
“We have many residents that have grown up following the royal family, and enjoy reminiscing about their favourite milestones over the years. Whether its the coronation, jubilees, or even birthdays, many of these occasions are linked to joyous and happy memories for residents, which they love sharing with one another.
“It was a fantastic afternoon, and we are already looking forward to planning activities for next year’s platinum jubilee!”
Tor Na Dee provides full-time residential, nursing and dementia care, as well as short-term respite care. Designed to enable residents to live enjoyable and fulfilling lives, the care home has its very own cinema room and hairdressers, and there is plenty of space both indoors and out for relaxation and recreation.
