Crowborough community invited to take exclusive look at newly refurbished care home

A local care home is inviting the community to help celebrate its state-of-the-art renovation with the help of some special guests.

Two events – an Open Day and a Grand Launch – will be held to mark the official re-opening of Care UK’s Heather View, on Beacon Road.

On Saturday 18^th February, from 10am-4pm, local people are invited to take an exclusive look at the newly improved care home as part of its Open Day. 

The Grand Launch will take place on Thursday 23^rd February from 2pm-4pm. Local people are invited to join in the celebrations – which will include a special visit from some four-legged friends. 

On arrival, guests can enjoy welcome drinks and canapes, and there will be plenty of time to tap their feet along to live music by singer Roger Channing. 

Residents and guests will have the opportunity to enjoy various activities, including meeting fluffy Shetland ponies in the courtyard, a Namaste hand massage session, a taster session from Dan Philpot, Head of Hotel Services, a cocktail making class in the bar area and meet a friendly therapy dog named Cooper.

Heather View has been designed to deliver the very best standards of care and to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives. The home provides full-time residential, nursing and dementia care, as well as short-term respite and palliative care. The home has its own space for activities, as well as a cinema, sensory room and café.
