What others have to say

Here are just some of the comments we’ve received from family, friends and residents at Ayton House care home.

The carers have to put up with a lot of grief from the residents sometimes, it’s amazing to see them at work, always with the best interests of the individual at heart. They are so patient with my loved one, she can be difficult with food and medication and they know never to try and force anything on her, they give her space and wait for the mood to change. They speak to residents in a personable way, they learn about their lives and their families and build relationships with them, person to person.

We looked at about 15 care homes for our loved one and we felt Ayton House was the best. The property is newly built, fit for purpose and the team are all very friendly and welcoming. There is a varied activities programme and they seem tuned in to the interests of the residents. My loved one can be quite stubborn but the care team have a way with him, they know how to get the best out of him. It’s clear they are taking excellent care of him. He looks so much better than when he was living at home, he’s always clean and well presented, he’s eating well and he has the support and companionship that was so clearly needed.

My wife enjoyed 2 weeks respite care at Ayton House following hip replacement surgery. The Care Home is very modern, clean, well maintained and the staff, at all levels, make the residents comfortable and ensure that they are cared for and made to feel at home. The two weeks respite care assisted my wife's recovery greatly and I would not hesitate to recommend Ayton House.

The team members are devoted to their work and it's clear they genuinely care about the residents. They know everyone personally; they know their likes and dislikes and how to speak with each of them. They are so patient with everyone, never in a rush to get on to their next task, and they are fully present with each person. They treat everyone like their own family.

Relative of a resident, December 2025

The team treats the residents with respect and they really get to know them as people. I'm particularly impressed with the range of activities they offer. My loved one has dementia and they provide activities specifically tailored for her to keep her mentally and physically engaged. It is above and beyond what I expected.
