Lisa Burrows

General Manager

Lisa Burrows

Cranford Grange offers a superb tranquil retirement option for those with a love of the countryside.

As General Manager, and a registered nurse with over 30 years' experience and previous matron, I set exceeding high standards of nursing care. I am passionate about the delivery of high quality care to residents and proud to lead a team of dedicated and knowledgeable professionals here at Cranford Grange.

As within health and social care sector, we strive each day to ensure that we create a culture of integrity and professionalism. My favourite part of the day is time spent with residents, either in the bistro joining them for a cup of tea or in the activities lounge, hearing how we've made a positive impact on their life, and understanding how we can continue to grow and meet their diverse needs.

Whenever I have spare time I enjoy rambling through the countryside with my family and our springer spaniel.

Jennifer Hartley
Jennifer Hartley
Head of Care

I came to work at Cranford Grange as I felt the NHS had become task orientated and I wanted to get back to the basics of nursing and take the time to care for residents and provide them with excellent, good quality nursing care. I was drawn to the fact that I would get to know the residents and their families and be able to utilise that knowledge to care for the residents holistically and make a real difference to their quality of life.

The skills required to do this role include good listening skills, calm, caring nature, ability to demonstrate good leadership skills. It matters to me that I can lead from the front and demonstrate the skills and passion. I adore the interaction with the residents and the team I work with. I really enjoy being with people and helping them in any way I can.

Dawn Williams
Director of Community Relations

I have worked here since 2013 and I still love my job today as much as the first day I joined the community. As the first point of contact for anyone enquiring about Cranford Grange, I feel fortunate to be able to assist families and to deliver the bespoke service we offer and that makes Cranford Grange such a special place. The most rewarding aspect is supporting families and new residents during what can be an emotional experience. I feel privileged to help in the journey towards the decision to join our community and then seeing them flourish and make new friendships is the ultimate reward.

Louise Burrows
Activities Coordinator

I have recently finished my 4-year degree at Chester University, and before this I completed a level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care at South Cheshire College receiving distinction star at the end of my studies. During my years at Chester University, I worked at Costa Coffee where I learnt how to make the perfect coffee and cup of tea, which is vital skill to have within this sector! Before joining the Activities Team, I started out on the Housekeeping Team during 2020, just as the pandemic was beginning. I will forever remember the memories and friends I made when working within the housekeeping team.

In my role you have to be a people person and have lots of energy and enthusiasm. I enjoy spending time with the residents and making sure they are having fun and are happy. Working with such an amazing team and being able to provide a high standard of care to the residents that live here is so important.

In my spare time I enjoy reading, as well as anything to do with animals, going to the cinema, and spending time with my friends, and I like taking my dog for walks in Delamere Forest.

Lisa West
Lisa West
Reminiscence Coordinator

I have always had a passion for working in the care industry and decided once my two boys were old enough to be independent to further my career. Knowing the Knutsford area I decided on Cranford Grange as I had heard about the exceptional person-centred care delivered by the care team. As well as ongoing learning and development I started medication training and became a medication technician, I then progressed to a Senior Care Assistant which I loved.

My passion has always been to work in the dementia community. So after lots of hard work, studying and gaining my dementia Level 3 with lots of encouragement from the team and General Manager I applied for the Dementia Care Manager role, and was delighted to be promoted to Reminiscence Coordinator. I am proud of my whole team for the level of care, kindness, and commitment they give to all residents. I couldn’t be any prouder or happier with my career progression and still love working here 6 years on.

In my spare time, I like to spend quality time with my family, beautiful grandson and the occasional holiday.

Timothy Carr
Head Chef

I’ve been working at Care UK since 2022, and I am proud to be a part of an organisation that has a fantastic reputation in the care industry. I was a Catering Manager for another care provider, but I jumped at the opportunity to work at Care UK as you get support and the relevant training to progress within the company.

My favourite part of the day working at Cranford Grange, is when I get words of appreciation and smiles from the residents as I serve their favourite meals at mealtimes. I always make sure that each meal is prepared according to residents’ diet requirements and preferences. I always encourage feedback from residents and family members – to ensure that there’s always a range of dishes that would be suited to everyone.

My biggest career highlight was when I was assigned as a personal cook for the President of Ireland, and I've also worked side by side with Heston Blumenthal. I am now proud to be cooking for the Cranford Grange family! To unwind, I enjoy playing golf and watching a football game, supporting Manchester United.

Business Administrator

I started at the home as a Dining Assistant and was able to move to the role of Business Office Coordinator in 2022 when it became available. I really enjoy working with the older generation and love going home each day feeling rewarded from the work I have done.

My favourite part of the day is interacting with the residents and having a laugh and a chat whilst talking about their stories - I love getting to know them and forming good relationships with them.

Head Housekeeper

Working within the care sector for over 15 years has been a rewarding journey, from domestic duties to heading a full housekeeping team. I am responsible for health and safety, infection control, hygiene, and providing leadership and support to the housekeeping and laundry operations at our community. I have worked here since 2018, ensuring exceptional standards are maintained in line with CQC, regulatory bodies and government requirements. Personally, having very high standards, I constantly strive to improve our already admirable services with the highest attention to detail and cleanliness. Having the advantage of a fabulous housekeeping team with me allows me to have pride in our fresh and clean home for residents.

Alison Fawkner
Lead Concierge

I have 20 years of experience in customer service roles, having managed a number of reception and management teams over my career. I started working for Cranford Grange in 2018 as Head Concierge after three months as an agency worker in the admin team. We have a great team of receptionists at Cranford Grange.

This role is much more than just answering the phone and greeting visitors. I am the first point of contact for all employees in the organisation, as well as residents, family members and visitors. To be a fantastic concierge, it’s important to be an empathetic, caring and positive person who communicates effectively, stays organised and possesses excellent interpersonal skills. You also need a deep-seated desire to be helpful, and a passion for meeting the needs of the residents and visitors in the community.

I love working together as one team. When it comes to getting things done, the concierge team are magicians. Helping residents, meeting and greeting visitors – it’s just a rewarding job. It’s a pleasure to work and to be part of the Cranford Grange community, where we pride ourselves on ensuring the residents’ needs and welfare are top priority. I’m proud to work for an organisation that has everyone’s interests at heart: residents and colleagues.

When I’m not working, I enjoy dancing, going to the gym, swimming and living life to the full. I also like going to the pub to unwind.
