I have previously worked for Care UK in the community services division, so I was aware of the company visions and felt that they reflect a lot of my own professional ideas. I am qualified in leadership and management training as well as health and social care, and my previous experience managing care homes and working as a service branch manager for a domiciliary company has prepared me to be a good match as home manager. You need to be a ‘Jack of all trades’ as the role is very varied and often requires quick problem solving skills. I am able to put myself in the shoes of a resident or relative and respond appropriately.
When I’m not working I enjoy taking my dog, Gracie, for her much anticipated walks in the countryside. I also enjoy spending time with my grandson and watching him grow up.
