Trusted to care in
Haywards Heath, West Sussex
Although working in the care sector is new to me, I have a wealth of experience in customer service.
I joined Care UK in 2021 after hearing about their great reputation and I felt that I had many transferrable skills from my time as cabin crew in British Airways.
I have a City and Guilds qualification in Introduction to Care. As Customer Relations Manager you are the first point of contact with families at a very difficult and stressful time. You need empathy and a caring attitude as well as being able to help with the practical side of things.
I enjoy building relationships and interacting with the people we provide care for. As Martlet Manor begins to open its doors there are so many exciting challenges we will face as a team.
When I am not at work I have two beautiful Labradors that enjoy long walks and I have my own horse to ride whenever I can… they keep me fit!
By trade, I am a painter and decorator, landscaper and previously worked as an industrial and commercial cleaner.
Before joining Care UK I worked in maintenance for another company. My favourite part about this role is working in different areas of the home and helping the people we provide care for with any odd jobs.
I enjoy bonding with a new team and look forward to developing my career at Martlet Manor. Outside of work, I am a keen rugby player and I love being outside with my wife and kids.
Every day Care UK colleagues live our values of passionate, caring and teamwork to empower residents to enjoy fulfilling lives.
The nurses at Care UK are highly skilled and receive sector-leading training, which enables them to keep developing expertise in different clinical fields from dementia to palliative care.
