We have a creative team of lifestyle coordinators who ensure there’s always a range of socially distanced group and one-to-one activities to enjoy.
At Mildenhall Lodge we encourage residents to mix in small, socially distanced groups within the home and garden, where they are free to simply relax, or take part in the varied lifestyle programme.
Name an activity and, chances are, it’s already on our activity schedule, from bingo and arts and crafts to quizzes and pamper sessions. We put on regular films in the cinema room and like to sit back with popcorn and snacks. The summer is always a great time to explore and enjoy our beautiful gardens.
We also think it’s important that residents retain a sense of the routines that go on in any home setting. So those who want to, help to fold towels or do some light dusting.
We use the latest technology (we have a laptop and a tablet) to help residents to keep in touch with their loved ones, wherever they are. We even run sessions on topics such as technology so residents can learn new skills. Everyone should be able to learn new things, whatever their age.
Enjoying good food
Good food is a vital ingredient for enjoying life, and our chef-led catering team plans and prepares delicious and nutritious meals made from the best ingredients. We cater for all tastes, diets and cultural requirements, and residents regularly enjoy plenty of choice and lots of delicious morning and afternoon treats.
Residents are welcome to enjoy their meals in the communal dining areas, however enhanced in-room dining options are available for those who prefer, or need, additional distancing.
