Deputy Manager - Holly Oak

Hi, I’m Chloe the Deputy Manager at Holly Oak. I achieved Level 5 in Business Management at Plymouth University and have 7 years’ experience in the care industry, with continuous in-house training.

I began working at The Hollies as an Administrator in 2018, became Sales Co-Ordinator in 2020, and from 2022 to 2025 supported both The Hollies and Holly Oak with administrative, HR and management duties while at university.

To do my role, I believe you need to be person-centered, compassionate, emotionally resilient and have strong communication, leadership and management skills—and a warm heart.

My favourite part of the day is making a positive difference, whether that’s resolving a query for a relative or playing a game like Dominos with residents.

Outside work, I make time for what matters most—my family and my beloved fur baby—who keep me grounded and motivated.

A career highlight for me has been receiving recognition from colleagues and families for my dedication and compassion. Knowing the positive impact, I’ve made inspires me to continue supporting our team and residents.

I feel proud guiding and supporting the team to ensure residents receive the best possible care, and the most important part of my role is supporting the wellbeing of residents, relatives and employees.

Customer Relations Manager - The Hollies & Holly Oak

Hi, I’m Ginny, the CRM for The Hollies and Holly Oak. I’ve enjoyed a long career in sales, ranging from DIY products and house sales to event hire and retirement schemes, and I’ve attended training covering many different aspects of sales. Before this, I also worked as a CRM.

I chose to work at Care UK because of the support of a well-established corporate company with strong experience in care.

To do my role well, I believe you need very specific qualities: being personable, having exceptional communication skills, being a good listener, understanding customer needs, showing unwavering commitment to customer service, and handling enquiries with confidence and care.

My favourite part of the day is spending time with our residents and seeing them happy and joyful when they join in with activities.

Outside of work, I enjoy playing golf and travelling in our campervan.

My biggest career highlight so far has been winning Salesperson of the Year 2024.

I’m proud to be able to support people in the later stages of their lives, and the most important part of my role is dealing with enquiries adeptly and with empathy.

Business Administrator - Holly Oak

Hi, I’m the Business Administrator at Holly Oak Care Home. I completed my NVQ in Business Administration, and before joining Care UK I worked as an Administrator. I decided to work at Care UK when the organisation acquired The Hollies / Holly Oak Care Homes.

I see myself as a multitasker, with understanding, empathy, patience, and I’m very much a team player. The favourite part of my working day is spending time with the residents while I am going about my everyday role.

Outside of work, I enjoy horse riding and spending time with my family and children. A standout moment in my career has been completing my NVQ in Business Admin.

What makes me proud in my role is ensuring that the staff are happy, taking on new challenges, and seeing families reassured that we are caring for their loved ones. For me, the most important part of my role is completing all of my tasks within the time frames given, delivering things correctly, putting a smile on the residents’ faces, and supporting the staff.

Head Housekeeper - The Hollies

I hold an NVQ Level 3 in Hospitality and a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Residential Management in Health & Social Care. Before this role, I was the Housekeeping Manager at The Hollies.

To do my role well, I believe a person needs to be kind, caring, understanding, a good listener, have strong leadership skills, be a team player, and be a problem solver.

My favourite part of the working day? I can’t put a finger on it—so everything!

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, researching family history, relaxing at my caravan, sewing, crochet, and knitting. I also love spending time with my two Staffordshire Bull Terriers and enjoying quality time with my husband.

My biggest career highlight to date has been passing my Level 5 Diploma.

What makes me proud in my role is knowing that what I do, contributes to residents living a fulfilling life. The most important part of my role is making sure that the residents and my team members are happy on a daily basis.
