Jeom Justin

Home Manager

Jeom Justin

I am incredibly proud to be manager at Walton Park, it is a role which allows me to have a positive impact and provide quality care to residents whilst also giving comfort and well-needed rest to families.

Being a manager in this setting requires empathy and compassion alongside exceptional organisation. As well as supporting families and residents, I am always here to be supportive toward staff.

I enjoy that no two days are the same and that our work can bring people peace and joy. The best part of each day is when a resident gives me a big smile.

Neel Nandkoomar
Neel Nandkoomar
Deputy Clinical Manager

I was initially excited to join Care UK, as I wanted to work for an established, successful company that places value in its staff and promotes growth and development.

Being a part of the clinical management team requires strong leadership alongside clinical knowledge and experience. No matter what each day brings, we maintain compassion, honesty and accountability, remaining proactive and curious to deliver the best care for residents.

The most important part of my role is bridging the gaps between families, members of the multidisciplinary team, residents and staff to ensure that common goals are achieved with a high standard.

My favourite time of each day is when I do my clinical walk-around. In this time away from the office and paperwork I am able to connect with residents as well as identify areas where I can connect with and mentor staff.

It brings me pride to be part of the ‘clinical heartbeat’ of the home. Driving clinical excellence, developing the team and advocating for our residents.

Lifestyle Lead

I have a long history working within the care industry and lifestyle teams and have learnt that the most important characteristics for working in the role are compassion, patience and creativity.

One of the most important parts of my role is the ability to build meaningful relationships with residents to understand individuals' preferences and needs and also their personal histories. We approach each day with enthusiasm, empathy and flexibility.

It brings me great pride when we are able to make residents happy, helping to fulfil their wishes and providing daily entertainment. The lifestyle team's most important role is to make each individual feel valued, included and emotionally connected with meaningful activities.

Admin Manager

As Admin Manager the most important part of my job is organising payroll, making sure all our hard-working staff are paid correctly.

It’s a role which requires strong organisational skills, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail. Working to help residents, families and our team means I am constantly adapting to work flexibly to meet people’s needs with professionalism and discretion.

One of our most challenging periods, which ended up being a moment to be very proud of, was during the Covid lockdowns. During this time, I had to teach myself how to use new systems so everyone got paid. Overcoming these challenges to continue offering the best services was a career highlight.

It gives me great satisfaction each day to tick items off my to-do list and be thanked for doing a good job for the home and team.

Maintenance

I enjoy every day working at Walton Park, getting to spend each day getting to know our residents.

As well as having technical knowledge to complete the many tasks that are required, working within a care home setting requires flexibility to adapt. It also helps to be outgoing and cheerful as you meet residents and families around the home each day.

It brings me great pride that the jobs we do around the home help make residents happy and safe; the work that I do each day helps to make a difference in people's lives.

Head Housekeeper

Leading the housekeeping team at Walton Park requires good knowledge of the home alongside reliability and persistence to achieve the best standards for residents. The team is also always caring and considerate for residents, families and the wider team.

Each day I enjoy offering the best possible service, working as a team to maintain standards and overcome any challenges.

Receiving feedback from residents and families is my favourite part of each day. Knowing that we are having a positive impact and doing a good job within the home brings me immense pride.
