Maintaining independence and a sense of purpose are all-important to health and wellbeing in later life.
That’s why every member of the Weald Heights team is passionate about enabling residents to live meaningful lives, whatever their capabilities and needs.
No two days are the same at our Sevenoaks care home. Our Lifestyle team organises an impressive array of socially distanced activities, from gardening and church services, to art classes, games contests, baking, news discussions, film afternoons, cream teas and live music.
Residents are encouraged to socialise within small, socially distanced groups so they can do as much or as little as they wish: they can lead an activity, help around the home or simply relax in the comfort of their bedroom.
Residents are at the heart of the home
Weald Heights residents have set up their own clubs, including a knitting group and ‘ladies who lunch’ and gentlemen’s clubs. Other residents love leading activities. One lady helps with dusting, while a gentleman proofreads our meeting minutes. Another gentleman was our Santa at Christmas time!
Of course, activities may not be for everyone. There are always opportunities for socially distanced one-to-one time with a member of the team, whether your loved one would like a relaxed chat or is keen to work on their life history book.
Relax in luxurious surroundings
Our care home in Sevenoaks offers stunning facilities for residents and their families to enjoy. Our café is the hub of the home, where freshly brewed coffee and homemade cake is always available. For film fans there’s our comfortable cinema; and our hair and beauty salon is perfect for a pamper session.
