Llys Herbert care home in Cardiff offers luxury living and quality care. Our dedicated team provide residential, specialist dementia and short-term respite care.

We're proud to have been nominated in Lottie’s top 100 care homes 2026. This is because of our ‘Excellent’ and ‘Good’ Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) rating, person-led activities program and the kind words of residents and loved ones.

Llys Herbert features many luxury facilities, including a café, hair salon, cinema room and in-house bar. Each of the ensuite bedrooms are spacious and beautifully furnished, the ground floor rooms even have direct access to a private patio. Outside enjoy the beautifully landscaped gardens and wheelchair accessible seating areas.

Continue to be part of the community with our extensive varied activities programme and outings to the local areas of interest in our minibus. We invite schools and groups, such as clubs, charities and churches, to visit us regularly.

It is like my loved one's second home. He has Alzheimer's and he can't communicate much anymore, but it's obvious from his face and his reactions that he loves the team. The activities team and the carers do everything they can to make his time more enjoyable, and he lights up when he sees them. It's lovely.

It is a very nice new home, well kitted out and a pleasant place to be. The team is lovely and very approachable. My loved one was quite unwell before moving into the home. Hospital left her depleted, but they have done an incredible job observing and meeting her needs. She's put on weight and she's looking so much healthier and happier now. They have looked after her very well.

They have a lot of activities happening in the home and a lovely lounge area where all the residents gather. My loved one has been eager to improve his walking and the home has been fantastic in facilitating that and encouraging him… they followed the advice of the physiotherapist and he's getting more involved in things now.

The food options and portions are extremely well tailored to the residents, and the quality is excellent. The chef comes out to speak with the residents and help with serving to make sure everyone is happy and getting what they need... my loved one speaks very highly of the chef.
