Welcome to Manor Lodge

Manor Lodge is a CQC ‘Outstanding’ and purpose-built care home in Chelmsford, Essex that delivers permanent and respite nursing, residential and dementia care. Known as a ‘home for life’, the team can support when a loved one’s needs change through a personalised care plan.

Our home has some fantastic facilities for residents to use whenever they wish, including a café, cinema room, and hair and beauty salon. Manor Lodge also has its own physiotherapy gym. Through a combination of nursing care and support from our physiotherapist, we have helped to transform many residents’ lives – enabling them to regain their mobility and independence.

Located a short walk away from Chelmsford city centre, residents can enjoy easy access to local amenities as well as convenient transport links. The dedicated lifestyle team also arrange trips and outings in the home’s own minibus.

We are proud to be accredited with the Gold Standards Framework Care Homes Programme. This demonstrates our skill and commitment to delivering high quality, person-centred care to residents at the end of their life.

My father spent the last month of his life at Manor Lodge Care Home. The care provided by the staff was truly wonderful - he could not have been in a better place, with kinder people, for his final days.

Every member of the team cared not only for my dad but also for us as a family. His final goodbye from the care home was incredibly touching and meant so much to us. All the staff who were able to stood in respect as we left the building, forming a guard of honour. It was such a thoughtful and moving gesture.

The team of nurses, health care assistants and catering team at Manor Lodge looked after my Dad and the whole family with the greatest care and medical skill. Everyone was so kind and treated him with respect and the greatest dignity. It gave us comfort to know he had been so well cared for.
